Robert N. Styres Scholarship
The Styres Scholarship sponsored by the Rotary Club of the Capital City which seeks to improve our local community and our world through projects focused on education and youth development.
The Robert N. Styres Scholarship is awarded annually to a Wake County Public High School graduate to attend a college, university or community college of the student’s choice, and is renewable for four years.
Since 2000 the Scholarship has awarded over $270,000 to 29 students. Currently, six recipients are on track to complete four years of college.
While academic achievement is important, the Scholarship is not necessarily intended for a student with a high grade-point average, but rather for a student who may have overcome some adversity along the way.
The Scholarship is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
