Dueling Dinosaurs!
November 7, 2023 -- The Rotary Club of the Capital City welcomed Eric Lund, Paleontologist, North Carolina Museum of Science. Eric described the museum's new dinosaur find, known as "Dueling Dinosaurs," a fossil set believed to be a teenage Tyrannosaurus rex and a fully grown Triceratops horridus. Each Fall, 140 or so local and regional golfers participate in our golf tournament to be orchestrated September 25 at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh. Justice Robin Hudson on Judiciary Elections
May 2, 2023 -- The Rotary Club of the Capital City was pleased to welcome Robin E. Hudson, Associate Justice Emeritus of the North Carolina Supreme Court. Justice Hudson, who retired in December after a long career of service on the North Carolina Appellate and Supreme Courts, spoke on her journey to judgeship, and on the evolution of our state's judiciary elections from being nonpartisan to becoming partisan, heavily funded, and heavily promoted contests.

The New Five Points Intersection
April 18, 2023 -- The Rotary Club of the Capital City welcomed Dr. Zach Bugg, an engineer with Kittelson & Associates leading the redesign of Raleigh's Five Points intersection on Glenwood Avenue. Each Fall, 140 or so local and regional golfers participate in the Rotary of the Capital City Golf Classic orchestrated at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, a Platinum Club of America-rated facility.Each year the Golf Classic raises over $30,000, and over $350,000 to date, to benefit our Styres Scholarship Fund, which directly supports Wake County students at the post-secondary level.Established in 2000 by our club, the Styres Scholarship Fund grants a four-year award to a deserving Wake Co
